Talk about a holy shit moment.

Here's a left-field idea: what if AJ became WWE Champion at Money in the Bank?

I've been thinking about AJ and this story she's the center of all week. I've been trying to work out where this is all headed, and apart from the obvious answers (alignment with Punk or swerve with Bryan) I can't think of a fitting ending. A fitting ending to a story which has been given this much time and which has become this intricate.

We know that AJ is special referee for Punk vs. Bryan at Money in the Bank. What we don't know is what AJ's motives are. They're best known to one person, and she's a crazy psycho stalker chick, if the narrative is to be believed.

But there's a commonality in all this: AJ has only been lusting after guys in the WWE Championship scene. Punk, Bryan, Kane. She's gotten into Punk and Bryan's heads while at all times keeping her options open. What if all this crazy stalker shtick is just a way for AJ to get her hands on the WWE Championship?

What if, with both men down in the middle of the ring, AJ pins Punk and Bryan and counts herself the new WWE Champion. The "holy shit" factor in that alone would be amazing. It would create a surreal moment like we've literally never witnessed in WWE before: a woman just won the WWE Championship (not trying to sound sexist). Plus, the visual of a pay-per-view ending with AJ doing that psychotic/orgasmic smile while holding the WWE Title would be something to behold.

I'm not necessarily advocating shock for the sake of shock. I'm not even saying WWE has to make a meal out of it afterwards. If they wanted a quick exit strategy, they do a segment with Punk and Bryan fighting over AJ which ends with her getting knocked out. They brawl to the back, and Mr. Money in the Bank cashes in to take the title. Not the best follow up in the world, but you got your payoff the night before.

Look, I'm not suggesting this even has a chance of happening. I was just pontificating outcomes, and this one seemed the most daring and shocking. After all, it'd be a shame to end a story this good with a bland payoff, wouldn't it?
