In 1987, space had failed on the verge of complete collapse and total failure of a series of games. It was with this that she all she had decided in a last desperate attempt to throw the aptly titled Final Fantasy. The game was a huge success, using the latest technology to tell the first of many epic stories in the format nascent Japanese RPG.

Not see the immediate future release two games in the U.S., but grew the brand name and popularity of the series in Japan before the release of Final Fantasy IV in 1991, later published in 1992 in the United States, such Final Fantasy II. It was the first of three versions of the SNES and alone bluffed all kind. It was an epic tale of deceit and betrayal and the search for a disgraced knight to discover and destroy the conspiracy, which promises to the ruin of his nation.

The next game was in a similar way to the U.S. a matter of more numbers oriented, and levels similar to the early entry skipped III. There was growth in the series, but nothing revolutionary, just a brand extension to bridge the gap until the next blockbuster Final Fantasy VI Bridge.

Final Fantasy VI was released in the U.S. as Final Fantasy III and proved to be the kick in the ass, that many American players who really love being in the series are needed. Even now, he is regarded by many as the best of the series. Terra, Kefka, competition intense boss battles and a fun story had, since then, Final Fantasy VI and everything is now played as one of the game the more classic in my collection.

And it was this game that Square ended the 16-bit era Fantasy final. The inclusion of spin-offs, mystical quest for SNES and should Legends for the Game Boy as an attempt by Square to note the expanding popularity of the franchise to a wider audience. Most will notice the failure of efforts, since none of these titles were real fantasies final appeal to the brand more than playing the game to sell copies.

It would require a technological revolution and the withdrawal of a traditional franchise partnership for the square key to make the leap to popularity in general. Which was released in 1997 with the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy VII for Nintendo making was taken for several reasons, not least of which is the inability to Nintendo, a platform for the technical capacity to develop space was. True to the classic format cartridge, Nintendo's desire to integrate video and orchestrated music, something new Sony game console CD format handled quite insane.

And this new technology, and openness to innovation, Final Fantasy VII was launched on the market. It was the first in the series to go 3D. Even the first to use the fair market value, the videos played during an emotional high points of the game. Whether the story or game has always been revolutionary is hotly debated by fans and dissenters, but the effects of the VII felt kind since. He re-invented, like the series 10 years earlier, the RPG genre that has been seen, and remains today one of the most popular games of all time.

A year and a half later, Final Fantasy VIII, the second stage of the trilogy Place Playstation games. It took the progress of Final Fantasy VII, and built upon them, admirable, introducing a new format for Magic and leveling that some saw as too simple, but also added a whole new level of strategy to experience.

Final Fantasy IX tried to return the series of medieval roots from which it grew. By using the most realistic approach to the eighth entry, we saw the reintroduction of super-deformed style cartoon of the previous games. The act is retroactive to last formats medieval games and away from the science fiction elements of the last three games. It was good, but it has been overlooked due to the simultaneous release of Sony's new PlayStation 2 and the introduction of new heights in graphics production.

Enter the next generation. Final Fantasy X is a step forward in ways VII was five years ago. He introduced 3D real voice, amazing graphics, and one of the most exciting stories in the series, shamelessly harsh and unforgiving in his characters, so powerful, they created a sequel, the first in history Final Fantasy. Of course, the successor does not quite live up to its predecessor, Final Fantasy X-2 has never received the respect of his brothers, but the game itself is fun and is packed with innovations that game could not remove the main series.

Except once, decided to offer an accommodation, and in Final Fantasy XI, they do not even have a standard RPG. Instead, we brought the huge RPG entry in the MMORPG realm, a sprawling, technically superb internet role playing (World of Warcraft has destroyed all its competition) now has an Internet population of the second. Some found it too hard, and no longer happy to know the use of brand names to sell only to an entirely new product, particularly as it has pushed the release of a new game console, nearly 5 years later. XI has been around for a while now and needs a sequel, and it remains to be seen if Square-Enix will make the effort.

Yup, that's right, Square Enix. The two giants, shortly after the release XI and things brought together a change was safe. Final Fantasy XII has been postponed indefinitely because of the merger for years. But he finally published early last year with great success. The game was the combat system more effective elements of XI and introduced a more mature, where history, all his characters. As a game, XII succeeds at many levels through his willingness to learn the "formula" as the other games on the change. And this is the story of Final Fantasy as a franchise. Through innovation, Square Enix has managed to make something amazing always worth playing, and sustainable. I still have all my final fantasy original intact on a shelf hidden for security reasons, only some Zelda also has a franchise Thurs Everything else tends to disappear.

PlayStation 3 looks like the newest entry is probably only one or two years in a row, and we'll see what Square Enix with the case, but you can count on one thing. It will be innovative and first class.
