It's barely 2 months since the Samsung Galaxy S3 came out and this handset is yet to be released in the US. The main reason behind this is that mobile carriers are trying to delay shipping dates due to high demands. It seems that the success story of the current Samsung Flagship is hardly affected by it. The sales figure of this handset is expected to reach 10 million units by the end of July.

Yes, Samsung is expecting to see its global sales to top 10 Million units by the end of July. It this is true, then it is the fastest 10 Million mark seller in the whole history of Samsung. "I think our second quarter earnings will be better than the first quarter's, despite the difficult economic situation in Europe" This is according to Xinhua News Agency quoted by Shin Jong-kyun (President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business).

Last Monday, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was unveiled in Seoul Korea. This is planned to be shipped to over 302 wireless carries an in 147 different countries worldwide by the end of July. Samsung will roll out the said smartphone in South Korea on the faster and upgraded 4G LTE networks by next month. This is through the country's three mobile carries (SK Telecome, KT, and LG Uplus).

All in all, Samsung also expects to sell over 200 million smartphone units by the end of 2012 to maintain its position as the world's leading handset manufacturer.

The Guardian states that expected sales figures refer to shipments of the Samsung Galaxy S2 to mobile carries and not customers; unlike Apple they record activation of each iPhone by the end-user. Samsung do not disclose sales figures to their consumers.

Shin also predicted that earnings from its handset division would be higher in 2012's second quarter than the first quarter of this year. Samsung rolled out global sales of the Samsung Galaxy S3 last May 29. However, shipments have been affected by tight supply of parts for the pebble-blue model of this handset.

According to market researcher "Strategy Analytics", in April Samsung shipped over 44.5 million of smartphones in the first quarter alone. This exceeds the 35.1 million number of their rival Apple (AFP reported).
