The movie which has nothing but violence as its backbone, with foul-mouthed characters ruling the screens. It was always tough for Anurag Kashyap's "Gangs Of Wasseypur" to be accepted by the Censor Board for screening. The movie makers itself would have doubted or rather planned for axing out scenes of the movie when they sent the movie for review. But it seems that the movie has come back without any great losses and with a 'A' certificate for its foul mouth!

Anurag had earlier clearly stated that he wont be adding any additional disclaimers or cutting down scenes based on the jury reviews as he still wanted the audience to see his creation in its original format.

But the sources state that Anurag agreed to comply with the board members for three voice cuts and two disclaimers stating; Smoking is injurious to health and The film is a fictionalised account.

Gangs of Wasseypur revolves around coal mafia. Manoj Bajpai, Reema Sen, Nawazuddin Siddiqui play prominent roles in the film. The movie is all set for release on June 22.

Plot of the movie goes around the rivalry between the gangs at the coal quarry.

Plot "Towards the end of colonial India, Shahid Khan loots the British trains, impersonating the legendary Sultana Daku. Now outcast, Shahid becomes a worker at Ramadhir Singh's colliery, only to spur a revenge battle that passes on to generations. At the turn of the decade, Shahid's son, the philandering Sardar Khan vows to get his father's honor back, becoming the most feared man of Wasseypur. Staying true to its real life influences, the film explores this revenge saga through the socio-political dynamic in erstwhile Bihar (North India), in the coal and scrap trade mafia of Wasseypur, through the imprudence of a place obsessed with mainstream 'Bollywood' cinema.

Wasseypur becomes the town that was once consumed by the raging war between Sardar Khan and Ramadhir Singh. It has spawned a new generation of money squandering lobbyists, turning into foolhardy gangs overnight. With illegal profiteering through scrap trade auctions over the Internet, corrupt government officials, election rigging and hooliganism, the town got murkier. Everyone wanted alliance with the most powerful man of Wasseypur, Faizal Khan. His sole ambition however, is to annihilate Ramadhir Singh, the man with the grand scheme." courtesy wikipedia.
