Like many rappers before him, Flo Rida is learning that LYING TO A JUDGE is a punishable offense…the hard way. The southern rapper has been fined $7,000 for doing just that.
If you don't know the back story to this already, Flo Rida is currently being sued by his former manager, Mahogany Miller. In the lawsuit, Miller claims that Flo Rida worked her like a slave for $3.08/hr, then promptly fired her when she complained about it. Flo Rida is disputing those claims, saying that Miller was just an unpaid intern to begin with.
Fast forward to the current problem…when Flo Rida didn't respond to the lawsuit in time, he told the judge that it was because he was never served papers. He also told the judge that the papers had an incorrect address listed on them, and were delivered to a woman he didn't know.
LIES. Turns out the address WAS correct, and the woman who received the papers was one of Flo rida's employees. When the judge heard this, he ordered Flo rida to pay Miller $7k for her attorney fees, and for making everyone run around in circles over some bs.
The rest of the case is still ongoing. Hopefully Flo Rida wasn't lying about anything else, or $7k is going to be just the beginning.
