For those of us that have been waiting for this new Spider-Man movie and just can't wait any longer, great news has swung into motion. The official Amazing Spider-Man game launched today and is primed to amaze us all.
The game takes place after the event of the movie, so it serves as an epilog to the theatrical variant. Will the game come with spoilers? Sure, because there is a game that takes place after the movie…..we know that Spider-Man doesn't die in the movie. That's a pretty big spoiler in itself. No reason to see the movie anymore, really.
But seriously, the game looks great. The graphics engine appears to be completely redone from any Spider-Man game I've seen, the combat looks more complex than in previous games, and, of course, the web-slinging mechanics looks euphoric and have even improved over previous games. Thanks to a new mechanic called Web-Rush, Spidey will be faster than ever!
I'm really excited for this new game. So much so that I'm heading out the door to go pick it up! The Amazing Spider-Man [Game] launches on PS3, 360, Wii, 3DS, and DS today while The Amazing Spider-Man [Movie] comes out next Tuesday, July 3.
