Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook was expected to miss six to eight weeks following his second surgery as he recovers from a torn meniscus that was suffered in last year's Western Conference Finals, but his progress has been ahead of schedule.
According to reports, Westbrook has recovered so well that he could be returning to the Thunder line up within two weeks which would be very welcomed news from the team and their fan base.

Oklahoma Thunder star Russell Westbrook has made significant progress in his recovery from a second surgical procedure on his knee and could return to the Thunder's lineup within two weeks, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Last season, Westbrook averaged 23.2 points, 7.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds.
The games that he missed after his injury were the first of his career, so there are no durability concerns.
It will be exciting for the Thunder to get Westbrook back before they had planned and it could help the team get off to a hot start as they look to return and get passed the Western Conference Finals this year.
