Composers Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana won the P1 million grand prize in the 2013 Philpop Music Festival on Saturday, July 20, 2013 Meralco Theater in Pasig City, with their nostalgic R&B song "Dati."
"Dati" was interpreted by Sam Concepcion and Tippy Dos Santos featuring Quest . It bested 11 other finalists in the annual songfest including Johnoy Danao 's modern-day kundiman "Kung Di Man" which won second prize and Jungee Marcelo 's "Pansamantagal" which took third prize.
Making it to the Top 5 are Joey Ayala 's ethnic folk "Papel" Lara Maigue 's power ballad, "Sa Yo Na Lang Ako."
