The verdict to make Narendra Modi (NAMO for people who appreciate his efforts) the election campaign chief of BJP is a clear symptom that the BJP prime ministerial debate is over within the party, he was the only chief minister to make it to the party's top decision making body earlier and now he has been made the poll campaign chief as well. NAMO's elevation to the top post was not well received by the BJP allies and by senior party members. The PM in waiting of India since the last two decades first resigned from all his three posts held by him in BJP, saying that "For some time I have been finding it difficult to reconcile either with the current functioning of the party or the direction in which it is going. I no longer have the feeling that this is the same idealistic party created by Dr Mookerji, Pandit Deendayalji, Nanaji and Vajpayeeji, whose sole concern was the country and its people. Most leaders of ours are now concerned just with their personal agendas. "
The rise of NAMO has indeed been quite overwhelming. In the last 12 years or so, Gujarat has witnessed riots, earthquakes that destroyed property worth billions of rupees. It was during this period only that NAMO had become the CM of Gujarat, and then people say Gujarat was already a developed state. The turnaround of Gujarat in every sphere has drawn wide scale appreciation from everyone around the world. Moreover he has won the state elections three times, back to back, which has made even his detractors believe that he is the Lion of Gujarat. They too believe that he has won those elections on the basis of MODI-FICATION of Gujarat!
After getting looted by Congress for almost a decade, NAMO is the leader, which INDIA both 'needs' and 'deserves', but there are some doubts in the minds of people belonging to certain classes of society. So lets sort out all the reasons once for all.
NAMO is popular in his state but not in INDIA
There was a never seen before kind request of the people of INDIA for making NAMO the PM of INDIA, lakhs of people have already started visualizing a vibrant future of INDIA keeping him as the PM in their mind. He is often seen topping the charts of all INDIA wide polls, defeating his rivals by huge margins in spite of repeated efforts made by all the mainstream media people to sabotage his image.
NAMO is one of the most trending topics on Facebook, though many people will argue that getting millions of likes and followers on a Facebook page doesn't guarantee that he will start living on 7 race course road post the 2014 elections, but yeah it definitely proves that he has maximum support among youngsters, the people who will be instrumental in shaping India's future want to be lead by NAMO.
Add to this NAMO's humble background, makes him connect instantly with the masses. His main opponents who have slogans like "garibi hatao" have never even come remotely close to feeling what a 'real' INDIAN feels. Moreover what kind of a party is congress which chooses its leader on the basis of blood relation and not by work. Their latest slogan of " Bharat Nirman pe Haq sirf humara hai" proves the above point quite clearly, the masses see it as their way of saying that they will continue to infest INDIA with lethal diseases like corruption and communal/pseudo-secular politics.
His hands are full of blood and he doesn't even acknowledge this
First, Gujarat's history has always been written in blood, NAMO has done a commendable job in preventing any further riots happening since 2002. Secondly he has condemned both the Godhra and post Godhra tragedies. He is a leader who focuses on the present and tries to prepare a better future, him giving an apology will be seen as an acceptance of his culpability. Though the media is to be blamed here, the way it molds and manipulates each and every word just to increase their TRPs has been continuously denting the nation's thought process.
Thirdly, NAMO stands innocent in the eyes of the law; even the committee set up by the central government has given him a clean chit.
Muslims feel threatened; NAMO's ascension to the top post will cause the Muslim voters to away
According to some reliable websites, there are some 60+ lakhs Muslims in Gujarat, who not only feel safe but are prospering too. According to a recent study, Gujarat Police has one of the largest percentages of Muslim policemen in its force; some 12% odd people are Muslims in the police force, which has further helped in ensuring the peace of mind among Muslims. In the last state assembly elections held in December 2012, the BJP won 24 constituencies that had more than 15% Muslim voters, of which 4 seats had even one-third Muslim voters and considering the anti-incumbency factor, this was a major achievement.
Moreover it tickles me, when the non-Gujarati Muslims condemn Gujarati Muslims for their support of NAMO, the Gujarati Muslims are more well aware of the ground realities, when a state develops and progresses, has a better infrastructure, it is ridiculous to even think that a section of society will be left just on the basis of religion. The river of growth flows to every Gujarati's house irrespective of caste, creed, color and sex.
To support the above argument in February Maulana Mahmood Madani, general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-Hind had acknowledged the contributions of NAMO's government in the better economic conditions of people by saying , "In Gujarat, Jamiat workers on the ground have told me that in several assembly segments, muslims have voted for Modi. There is a perceptible change of heart and circumstances are different now. Muslims in Gujarat are economically better off than in several states of the so-called secular government in power". Jamiat is the politics of offshoot of Darul Uloom Deoband that has a significant effect over millions of Muslims dwelling in the sub-continent.
Moreover the meaning of secularism in INDIA differs from leader to leader:-
Rahul Gandhi: Secularism is when Muslims first!!
Mayavati : Secularism means Dalits first !!
Mulayam: You are secular if you support me to become PM!
Nitish Kumar: Opposing NAMO is secularism!!
And
Narendra Modi: Secularism means INDIA FIRST!
People no longer want to burn under the pretext of communal hatred, they want development, they want a richer, stronger, healthier INDIA and that's what exactly NAMO is going to give the people!
NAMO is not accepted in countries like USA
First of all, one needs to be an INDIAN to become the PM of INDIA, he needs to love INDIA and feel for INDIA and he needs to be chosen by the INDIAN people to become the PM of INDIA. So, why do we want to depend on some other country to tell us who should lead us and who should not. NAMO is not like MADAMJI who had once rejected INDIAN citizenship and had preferred to stay as an ITALIAN.
Secondly, Gujarat riots are nothing when compared to the onslaught carried out by USA in various countries for 'eradicating terrorism', they had violated so many human rights and now they justify that violation by saying that was the necessary evil that had to be done in order to uproot terrorism completely.
Moreover after the British and EU détente the American meltdown of its stand on NAMO is bound to happen. Hopefully then, the approval seekers will take the US visa stamp as the proof of NAMO's innocence, the way they are taking the denial of US visa as a proof of his guilt.
Modi is rigid, he is authoritative and compromise is not possible with him
Since the last decade or so people have been crying over the fact that the PM of INDIA does not possess the qualities required to lead a country like INDIA. They have argued that even though he is a brilliant economist, he lacks the gumption to take strong decisions when required and has in turn disappointed people too, but now when the people have a person like NAMO, some people say that NAMO is too authoritative? I guess they are scared because they know NAMO is a strict administrator and once NAMO comes to power many congress ministers will be seen shouting "BHARAT NIRMAN PE HAQ HUMARA HAI" from behind the bars of a jail. People say about NAMO that compromises are not possible with him. Well isn't that what we want? A person who has the guts to punish the corrupt and will take the right decisions irrespective of the pressure put on him to mold his decisions!
For winning the support of the minorities, NAMO does not sport a white hat or pays money from the government treasury to sponsor the Muslim weddings or sees off haj pilgrims. NAMO wants to win the trust and votes of people by his image of a strict administrator and as a synonym for growth and development.
A person doesn't become secular by pulling any of the above-mentioned political stunts; instead he gets himself labeled as pseudo-secular!!
Moreover, NAMO's speeches are heard/watched by INDIANS all across the globe with great interest, with his latest 3-D campaigns; he has touched millions of INDIANS with his warmth and vision. Even people living in South INDIA who are not that well versed in Hindi, have enjoyed listening to him!
NAMO will Break NDA/BJP
Congress supporters generally raise this point, and I have just one thing to say to them, "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS"
You have an aging PM , a child who never became a prodigy and always shy's away from the big stage, a whole bunch of corrupted and tainted ministers, so first sort your own woes and then worry about others.
NAMO is single handedly capable of making BJP the single largest party after the next LOK SABHA elections.
I agree BJP can lose allies like BJD,NCP and it has already lost JD(U) but it can for sure make new allies like AIADMK and TRS and together with old allies like SHIV SENA and AKALI DAL they will for sure have enough fire power to storm in the parliament with a majority and form a stable government.
For NAMO lovers he is GOD who can do anything!
But in reality he just a normal human being with an extraordinary dream of bringing a revolution in INDIA and making INDIA one of the top countries of the world in every aspect!!
