Soooooo, I may have been a little wrong about the Kings closing this one out in game 4. Sue me*.
Los Angeles Kings (8) vs. New Jersey Devils (6) - 8:00 EST NBC: There came a point in Game 4 where the story switched over from "The Kings have all the time in the world to wait this out and finish off the Devils" and turned into "If the Kings don't finish off the Devils soon, they're in trouble." About two minutes after that, the first goal of the game was scored. Then, the Kings got a weak call and evened up the score, because who would have thought that a previously tightly-called game would see a bit of a soft penalty moments after one team took a lead? At any rate, Adam Henrique untied the game and Ilya Kovalchuk stopped being lazy long enough to salt it away with an empty netter**.
In Lou We Trust (Devils)
Jewels From the Crown (Kings)
Tonight's Prediction: The streak of teams winning it on road ice continues for at least one more season.
*(don't sue me)
**(I let Pierre McGuire write that sentence)
